Video: The Steelwells, “Our Fabled Little Rabbits”

24 Sep

Fullerton-based alternative rock/folk group The Steelwells debuted their FIRST-EVER music video on Monday night. The Aesop’s Fables-inspired song “Our Fabled Little Rabbits” already paints a picture for us. You think of being a little kid listening to your grandparents share tales of their young love. And the video plays with that, showing bandmates dressed in chicken and rabbit costumes chasing the city and looking for a pal to share moments with. Supposedly, the video was done all on a whim. Props to the filming because I bet you wouldn’t guess that a few talented college students put it together. Now, check out the video for yourself and let us know what you think.

Video: Stacy Clark, “Hold On”

24 Sep

It’s been an exciting year for Orange County’s Stacy Clark. After signing to Vanguard Records and the release of her new album Connect The Dots (now available in Borders) it seems everything is falling into place. Recently, her song “White Lies” was the Single of the Week on iTunes getting 400,000 downloads. Now on tour promoting the album and receiving lots of radio play, Clark debuted on Teen Vogue’s Web site her new music video for “Hold On,” which features nonprofit To Write Love On Her Arms.

Echo Park’s The Henry Clay People released a new album called Somewhere On The Golden Coast (a review will be up soon!)  a few weeks ago and the band is currently on tour with Silversun Pickups and Against Me. They’re just all over the place and I couldn’t be happier for them. Here is their brand spank’n new music video for “Your Famous Friends.” What do you all think?
